Infant Schedule
Two Classrooms:
Younger Infant Room (ages 6 weeks to 10 months and crawling)
Older Infant Room (ages 10 months to 18 months and walking)
Our infants have an Individualized Care Plan for every aspect of their day at WonderKids! Their school schedule will coincide with their home schedule and individual needs. At approximately 10 months of age they are able to follow a more structured schedule. From this point forward, we continue to meet their needs, and prepare them for a smooth transition into our Toddler Room at 18 months of age. Our goal is to accommodate each child’s individual schedule while creating a safe, healthy and nurturing environment!
From ages 6 weeks through 10 months, we work together with our families and their needs, and lovingly provide each of our infants with their own individual and flexible schedule, preparing them for a smooth transition into their next learning experience.
From ages 10 months through 18 months, we gently guide our older infants towards their next goals of growth and development.
7:00 AM – 9:00 AM
As our infants arrive to WonderKids they are fed on an as needed basis. They are diapered every two hours, or sooner when needed. We engage our infants in:
♥ Tummy Time ♥ Floor Play ♥ Sharing ♥ Reading ♥ Speaking small words ♥ Using Sign Language
9:00 AM – 10:00 AM
Educational Creative play!
♥ Large Lego play ♥ Soft foam block building and stacking
♥ Fine motor and Manipulative play ♥ Exploration using the Sensory Objects
♥ Music and Dance ♥ We read books and stories to them and they enjoy our soft books
♥ We sing songs and Nursery Rhymes to our babies
10:00 AM – 10:30 AM
Gross Motor Room Activities!
♥ Developing Large Gross Motor Skills ♥ Children engage in games ♥ Tunnel Climbing
♥ Small Parachute Play ♥ Gentle Calisthenics, rolling and stretching on the mats, floor balance beam
10:30 AM – 10:45 AM
This is our Group Time for our older Infants!
♥ We sing songs and create Finger Plays
♥ We discover various Shapes and the Rainbow of Colors while singing songs that relate to the different colors we are viewing
10:45 AM – 11:00 AM
Creative Art Activities!
With the introduction of Art, the children use their fine motor skills with:
♥ jumbo crayons ♥ chubby beginner paint brushes ♥ beginner finger paints
♥ the children explore textures through felt, tissue paper, etc.
11:00 AM – 11:30 AM
Outside Playtime and the Development of Gross Motor Skills!
♥ Hopping and Low Climbing ♥ Creative Drawing with Chalk Sand and Water Table play
♥ Sprinkler fun in the Summer time ♥ Outside Exploration and Discovery ♥ Ball Play
11:30 AM
Hands are washed following outside play!
11:40 AM – 12:00 PM
Healthy Lunchtime!
12:00 PM – NAP / REST TIME
♥ Soft Classical or Jazz Music playing
♥ The Children rest on comfy cribs (meeting the 2013 Federal Regulations guidelines) with their own sheets and small blanket
1:30 PM – 2:00 PM
The Children awake from their Rest Time!
2:00 PM – 2:30PM
Healthy Snack Time!
2:30 PM – 3:15 PM
The children engage in Educational Creative play!

Diaper changes as needed. Children’s hands are washed following outside playtime!
4:15 PM – 5:30PM
Relaxing time!

♥ winding down from our busy day!
Infants follow the same schedule that they have at home until approximately 10 months of age. Diapers are changed every 2 hours or sooner if needed starting with the last diaper change given at home prior to arrival.
Toddler Schedule

Toddler Room (ages 18 months to 28 months)
Toddler/ Preschool Transition Room (ages 28 to 36 months)

Our Toddler Rooms are divided into two rooms, providing the children with a richer learning environment for each Toddler age grouping!
We provide our Toddlers with a variety of stimulating activities and choices, which ensures a smoother transition, and more pleasurable experience for all!

This is our Group Meeting Time!
♥ We review the Calendar, the Month and the Days of the Week ♥ We sing songs and create Finger Plays
♥ We review Numbers and Letters and the discovery of various Shapes and the Rainbow of Colors
♥ We discuss the weather outside and dress the Weather Bear ♥ We incorporate Puppet Play
9:45AM – 10:15AM
The children create wonderful Art Projects combined with Letter Recognition and Writing!
♥ Each day of the month brings a different Art Project that correlates to the Weekly Theme.
♥ The children create their own interpretation of the daily art project following their group discussion.

Outside Playtime!
Development of Gross Motor Skills:
♥ Hopping and Hop Scotch, Limbo, Creative Drawing with Chalk, Sand and Water Table play
♥ Snow people making in the Winter time

Preschool & Pre-Kindergarten Schedule

Our Preschool is a great space for creativity and learning! With a variety of inviting “Center” choices, from science to math, building blocks to family living, group activities and so much more, the children are continually exploring, engaged and provided with a stimulating environment.

Our Pre-Kindergarteners are eagerly learning the important skills they will need to succeed in Kindergarten, and become self-confident leaders!
